The Pictures

Here are some pictures from July 17th, 2007. I've finally got all the painting done that I wanted to. Jenny also came today to help me hang the border in the kitchen. I think it all turned out really well.

Here are some pictures from July 9th, 2007. The name of the game this past week has been paint, paint and more paint. Mom came to help me out and we got most all of the kitchen stuff unpacked and the kitchen nook, dining room and half the master bedroom painted. I had to go out and buy some more paint today so I can finish up in the bedroom. I had a blast doing the faux finish in the dining room. I'll be doing the same in my bedroom with a lighter green. The furniture is in place in most of the rooms but the boxes for the upstairs rooms still need to be unpacked. I forsee many trips up the stairs with boxes of books. Or perhaps handfulls of books until said boxes are light enough to haul up the stairs heh. I know I've certainly gotten a workout so far and I'm not even done yet.

Here are some pictures from July 1st, 2007. Yay! I finally have the house closed and I've gotten my things moved in. Of course the furniture is everywhere and all the boxes are in the garage but it's all there. ^_^ Many thanks to Lois, Derek, Tony, Jason and Josh for helping out today with the move. I couldn't have done it without all of them doing the heavy lifting heh. As you can see in the pictures everything is a mess but it's finally ours and I've got the rest of the week to paint a few walls and put away my things. Woot!

Here are some pictures from June 24th, 2007. This will probably be the final set of pictures from before I close on the house. I might take a few more outside ones when they get finished with the yard and the fence but the inside is pretty much done except for the things that I point out tomorrow and the stove. I also hope they get in the upstairs cooling unit so that it's not so hot up there heh.

Here are some pictures from June 22nd, 2007. I was only able to see the outside today but tomorrow I hope to add some pictures from inside. We're down to the last push on everything. I've got my inspection on Monday and I hope to close on Friday or not too long after that.

Here are some pictures from June 18th, 2007. Let there be light! The electricity was turned on and they labeled the breaker box in a mostly legible handwriting. They have most of the yard leveled and the steps put in both the front and the back. So not too much more and they'll be done for the inspection. Then of course they have to fix all the stuff I point out heh.

Here are some pictures from June 16th, 2007. Since I took pictures earlier in the week not much has changed overall. They did get the driveway done and are currently working on the steps in the back. I'm sure they'll do the front too but that probably won't be until a bit later. The only change on the inside is all the shelving in the closets so I took pictures of those.

Here are some pictures from June 13th, 2007. I went by the house a bit early this week. I'm sure I'll be by again this weekend. The lights and microwave got added this week so far. Everything is coming together finally and I've got a closing date for a little over two weeks from now. ^_^ I'm looking forward to it.

Here are some pictures from June 9th, 2007. There weren't alot of big changes but things progressed pretty well this past week. All faucets, sinks, toilets and towelbars were added. Some lightswitch covers and a majority of trim were put in place. Really for the inside all that is left is painting the fixit spots, putting the carpet in and making sure all the lights and fans are put up. They already laid the wood for my entryway and I expect that they will put the linoleum in the sunroom soon. Overall it was a good week.

Here are some pictures from June 2nd, 2007. I'm amazed at how much they've gotten done this past week. Along with all the inside stuff they also got the water pipes connected in the front yard. It looks like my front yard blew up still but I'm sure they will be along to finish smoothing it out soon. I really love the colors of the cabinets, counter tops and bathroom sinks. It all seems to go together pretty well. They also poured the back porch. There will have to be a bunch of dirt brought in to make sure its all level. I'm glad they did that because the drop off was pretty steep beforehand.

Here are some pictures from May 26th, 2007. They have been busy at work on the painting (first coat) and the trim work. They will probably finish with the trim sometime next week would be my guess. Then perhaps they will start bringing in the cabinets and other stuff. :)

Here are some pictures from May 19th, 2007. The builders had a busy week or so while I was gone. They bricked, sided, drywalled and textured the ceiling. It was great to see all the work firsthand when I got home today. I'm pleased with the brick and all the other work. It's coming along nicely.

Here are a few pictures from May 5th, 2007. Not a whole lot has changed on the house this week. They did most of the ductwork and changed out the octagonal window. Must have the fancy window. ^_^ I'm not sure what will happen next week. I hope they get to brick soon but I'm thinking that won't be until the week after next. I guess I'll find out.

Here are a few pictures from April 28th, 2007. Tom, Derek, Lois and I spent a majority of the day wiring (and supervising) at the house. Jenny came by to see all the progress at lunchtime. I bought everyone lunch. It was the least I could do since I was making them do manual labor. ^_^ Now I have a fully wired house for internet and surround sound speakers. Thanks guys!
